The site for proposed Gandhinagar Club, overlooking the Sabarmati River, offered exciting opportunities to develop a recreational club for the citizens with fantastic views of the river. Being viewed as an upcoming landmark for the city, at par with other major developments proposed, the design for this project is contemporary while also being sustainable and environmentally sensitive. The plan retains most of the existing natural features and the landscape and uses them efficiently to add to the aesthetic and functional value of the proposed clubhouse. New landscape features like pedestrian trails, cricket field, parks, gardens, outdoor sports area, plazas, and amphitheater further enhance the unique character of the site. Proposed to be developed as an all-inclusive recreational utility for the city dwellers, the project includes three restaurants, recreational and leisure facilities, banquet facilities, 110-key Hotel and a multi-purpose hall, Library, Gymnasium and Fitness Centre, Swimming Pool, children play areas and Indoor and Outdoor Sporting zones. The plan pivots around a Central Green space, with many smaller gardens placed across the site. This central space is designed to cater to multiple uses including sporting activities and community events and celebrations. The careful juxtaposition of contemporary architecture along a serene and natural setting brings in a unique experience to the users.
