Pankaj is serving as a President and Member of the Board for Abellon Clean Energy. A Go-Getter in the true sense of the term, he is an innovator and dreamer who exemplifies a sound combination of the best of technical acumen as well as business & strategic sense, ensuring the ability to take any idea to its due culmination. He is a Mechanical Engineer with Management background in finance. He is one of the architects behind conceptualizing and shaping the business model of Abellon Clean Energy, an organization led by the Gandhian principle of sustainability and the philosophy of finding simple solutions to complex problems faced by the world. His exposure has led him to develop a special inclination and expertise towards integrating environment, energy and other key elements to bring sustainability into industrial operations. His innovative approach, thinking and experience covering a diversity of domains make him a sought-after expert advisor and spokesperson, who has been invited to be part of numerous Indian/international forums and initiatives by Governments, Business Organizations, Social and Academic Platforms.
Pankaj is a long standing visiting faculty at the prestigious CEPT University, where he is associated with the School of Building Sciences and Technology with special focus on Architectural and urban planning. An innovator at heart, Pankaj holds 20 patents for his work in the areas of clean energy, environment, and sustainability across a diversity of subjects. He has written technical papers/presented technical views around sustainability and renewables on both national and international platforms, including PowerGen International 2000, PowerGen Asia 2000, ASME and IGTI 2003, Africa investment Forum 2010, Biomass Mission for India formed by Ministry of New and Renewable Energy, State Nodal Energy Development agencies in India, Bureau of Energy Efficiency, Govt. of India, etc.
He has been nominated as a member of the Technical Advisory Committee formed by Ministry of Science and Department of Biotechnology, Government of India, for guiding the Indo-US joint research project on 2nd generation biofuels. He travelled across the world including Canada, USA, UK, Europe, China, Taiwan, African nations of Kenya, Ghana, Gabon, Namibia, etc. giving him a global perspective and exposure to various initiatives and possibilities in the field of renewable energy.
