During her doctoral research, Meeta led an in-depth inquiry into the vulnerability of farmer households and their dependence upon agriculture along with mapping the role of agriculture in inducing the vulnerability at the macroeconomic level. Following this, she has been building upon her understanding of the linkages between livelihoods, development, and inclusive (rural-urban) planning. Working on diverse themes, Meeta’s perspective has evolved to understand the community needs and their inter-relationship with space and their surroundings. As a geographer planner, she believes in creating sustainable designs and frameworks for communities so that they can thrive in safer environments.
A successful design is one that enables communities to live in harmony with their environment and culture.
