Leonard is an Executive Vice President and member of the Executive Leadership Team of Stantec. He is a Business Leader for the Buildings Business Line, with responsibility for the growth and direction of a 3,500 person global architecture and engineering practice. In this role, Leonard has been privileged to travel to Stantec’s offices around the globe and in doing so, has developed a deep understanding of the diversity in geography, culture, and history that makes each community unique. He is driven by a passion for people and community building.

With 28 years in practice, Leonard’s work includes complex project delivery for some of the largest institutions in North America and Internationally. Recently, Leonard has served as the Project Executive for the University of Alberta’s Edmonton Clinic Health Academy, a $425 million world-class academic research, teaching, and healthcare facility, ASAP III a 14 School, $200 million P3 project for Alberta Infrastructure, the $1.5 billion HMC National Centre for Cancer Care and Research Centre in Doha, Qatar and other recent major projects totalling over $5 billion in construction value for Alberta Infrastructure, Infrastructure Ontario, Public Works & Government Services Canada, NAIT, SEHA, HMC, U of A, U of C, WestJet, ATB, Epcor, Husky, Imperial Oil, Shell and Suncor.

Leonard is part of the buildings leadership team. In this role as Buildings Group’s leadership, Leonard has been privileged to travel widely in North America, Europe, UAE, Asia and many international locations and in doing so, has developed a deep understanding of the diversity in geography, culture, and history that makes each community unique. Leonard has worked closely with Jayesh Hariyani on strategic issues for India and International practice. He is driven by a passion for design, international collaboration and community building makes him an ideal external advisor for the INI in its journey to becoming the Top Design Firm in India and Internationally.
